E-Bike Rebate Program
in partnership with the City of Boise
City of Boise’s “Keep Boise Cool” program is launching a pilot e-bike rebate program for Boise residents. The TVCCC is partnering with the City of Boise to execute the rebate program.
There are many benefits of e-bikes, including for the economy, air quality, traffic, public health, and your wallet. Check out our micro-mobility page to learn more about how e-bikes can improve your quality of life and the payback period for if replace your daily commute with an e-bike.
How the program works

Be 18 years old or older
Be a resident of the City of Boise
Complete the two course series on bicycle safety offered by the City of Boise

Register for and complete the City of Boise’s two course series on bicycle safety. You can find the registration at this link.

After completing the two bicycle safety course offered by the City of Boise, submit an application for an e-bike rebate through our non-profit. See link below.
Our non-profit will email you to confirm that you have received a rebate. Not every one who applies may receive a rebate.

If you are awarded an e-bike rebate, we will contact you via email. Not everyone who applies is guaranteed a rebate. If you are contacted by us and awarded a rebate, then visit one of the local bike retailers listed below and purchase your bike up-front. Keep your proof of purchase (i.e. receipt) as you will need to submit a copy to our nonprofit to verify your purchase.

After purchasing your e-bike at one of the listed local bike retailers, submit a copy of your proof of purchase to our non-profit. Allow up to 4 weeks for processing.

After receiving your a copy of your proof of purchase for your e-bike, we will send you a check for your rebate amount within 4 weeks.
E-bike Rebate Amounts
$400
Standard Rebate
Those who are not income-qualified nor need an adaptive e-bike, may receive the standard rebate amount.
$700
Income-qualified rebate
Those who are income-qualified or need an adaptive e-bike, are eligible for the income-qualified rebate.
This program is being funded by the City of Boise, the Treasure Valley Clean Cities Coalition, and a grant awarded by the Urban Sustainability Directors Network. If you match the eligibility and adhere to the requirements of this program then may receive a rebate. There is no purchase necessary to be considered for the available e-bike rebates. Those who are income-qualified or require an adaptive e-bike will receive priority.

Once you register for and complete the two bicycle safety courses offered by the City of Boise, you use this application form to apply.

Once you’ve completed both bicycle safety classes offered by the City of Boise and apply for a rebate, you will hear from us within 4 weeks. We will email you to inform you of your rebate status.

You will have a specified number of days to purchase and submit your proof of purchase to the Treasure Valley Clean Cities Coalition in order to be eligible to receive your rebate.

No. You must purchase the e-bike from a participating bike shop listed above.

To be considered for an income-qualified rebate, you must prove your participation in a federal, state, or local low-income qualified program. Acceptable proof of income qualification include participation in SNAP (food stamps), LIHEAP (energy assistance), Medicaid, Idaho Housing and Finance Association income qualifying programs, and the City of Boise Utility Billing Income Qualified Billing Assistance Program, among others.
